We hosted our first session last Thursday, 9th September and honestly, we were blown away by the response. Despite the terrible weather, over 40 people joined us. That’s far bigger than we were anticipating – we used almost every instrument we have, including backups!
It was great to meet everyone, and start to learn our first Samba Reggae. The energy was crazy! Even those who had never picked up a samba instrument before were playing along and sounding fantastic, and we’re so proud of all of our first attendees.
Needless to say, we’re now open every Thursday from 7 pm. We’ll be refining a few things to make the sessions even better, and focusing on obtaining more instruments and equipment to fill our band out even further.
So, a massive thank you again to everyone who attended our first session. You sounded fantastic, you brought energy, and you blew us away with the effort you put in. We’re looking forward to seeing you all again next week!
